HOUSE GUIDE

INSTRUCTIONS TO ACCESS THE FLAT

IN FRONT OF THE BUILDING DOOR:

Facing the building entrance, open the VIKEY link that we have sent you. On the VIKEY link, you will see 2 buttons: push the button labeled «building door» on your smartphone, and then «ok» Now, on the intercom next to the door, dial the number ‘5406’ and push the bell symbol to open; after a few seconds, the fence will open.

Enter the building gate and take the stairs in front of you: turn right on top of the stairs and follow the garden path, around the corner at the end of the path you will find «Scala E» on your left side. In front of the glass door: on the Vikey link on your phone, push the buttons «building door» and «ok»; now dial the number 5406 on the intercom and then the bell symbol, the glass door will open.

Take the elevator and go to the 4th floor: your apartment is in front of you on the left, number 406  (the door with the cylinder).

IN FRONT OF THE FLAT DOOR: 

TO UNLOCK

OPTION 1:

Press once on Vikey link and open it to have access to your digital keys: two buttons will appear. Press the button labelled «apartment door», then press «open/close with cell phone» and «unlock». When the blue light appears on the cylinder, the cylinder is released: turn it two times to the right  to unlock, then pull the handle down to open the door.

OPTION 2:

As an alternative, you can use the opening code (10 digits) that appears on the Vikey link when you push the button «apartment door» and then «open/close with code». Your personal code will appear. Push any button on the cylinder, then dial the code and press the padlock icon (one after the other). The cylinder is now released and like a key: turn it two times to the right to unlock, then pull the handle down to open the door.

TO LOCK

When you have to lock the door, please follow the same procedure. Activate the cylinder by pushing the button on your phone «apartment door», «open/close with cell phone» and «unlock» or dialing the code and pressing the padlock icon, then turn it to the left two times like a key. The door is now locked.

TO GET OUT OF THE BUILDING

When the main gate is locked (weekends, evenings) and you have to go out, you have to push the white button on the wall at the top of the stairs ( see the pictures below) to open it.

DURING YOUR STAY

You’ll find a set of keys in the apartment that we kindly ask you to keep with you during your stay.

You can ONLY open the building gate with the actual key,  always use the link or the 10 digits code that you find in your Vikey link for the flat door.

Another easy way to lock and unlock the flat door is by the Blue Tag that you find attached to the set of keys.

ONCE IN FRONT OF THE VIKEY CYLINDER:

  • Press any number on the keypad
  • When the light becomes blue, place the Blue Tag on top of the screen
  • When you hear a sound, the cylinder is active. You can turn it twice to open or close the door.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

Please do not use two or more electrical appliances at the same time (washing machine, dishwasher, oven, hair dryer…) as it may cause an electricity shortage.

Should  the electricity go out in the apartment please proceed as follows:

  • Turn all the appliances off
  • Check the electrical panel in the closet in front of the door and eventually pull all the switches up
  • If all the buttons are “up”, you have to go to the ground floor and check the main electrical control panel. Enter the door in front of the elevators: you can open it with the spare key you find in your key set.

Enter the room and find the panel number 406 (left side). Lift the buttons up and anything should be back to normal in the flat. Please lock the door behind you as you exit the room.

EQUIPMENTS

AIR CONDITIONING

The air conditioning system is activated by the building manager at the beginning of the Summer season (end of May/ beginning of June) until September.

When the system is switched on, you can adjust the temperature in the apartment according to the instructions below:

  • To turn the air conditioning ON: turn the top wheel on the thermostat in the bedroom (photo 1) to the left. Then, through the lower wheel, you can control the air power by selecting its speed. You will see a BLUE light on the panel.
  • In the living room and bedroom, you will find an air conditioning split that you can turn on and manually adjust in intensity by using the control panel on the right side of the air conditioner.
LIVING ROOM

Turn on the split unit using the switch on the right (flame symbol in winter and snowflake symbol in summer). Use the switch on the left to change the intensity, and use the dial below to set the temperature.

BEDROOM

Turn on the split unit by shifting the top switch to the right, then select the intensity with the bottom switch.

HEATING SYSTEM

The heating system is activated by the building manager according to Milano municipality rules (winter season: Mid November/Mid April)

During this period, you can control the temperature inside the apartment according to the instructions below:

  • to turn the heating system ON, turn the upper wheel on the thermostat in the bedroom to the right side (photo 1). You can then control the air power and it’s speed through the lower wheel. You will see a RED light on the panel.
  • In the living room and the bedroom you will find a heater that you can manually turn on: you can reach the control panel on the right of the split and change the settings according to your needs.
BLINDS

To raise or lower the blinds, press and hold the buttons (upward or downward arrow) for one second, the shutter will automatically raise or lower.

DISPOSE OF GARBAGE AND RECYCLING

  • Please make sure to dispose your rubbish as follows:

    • ORGANIC WASTE: food waste
    • NON RECYCLABLE: generic waste
    • PAPER+CARDBOARD
    • GLASS (AFTER CLEANING)
    • PLASTIC (AFTER CLEANING)

    Please separate the rubbish and place the same materials in a bag (one for the paper, one for  the plastic, one for the glass, one for the non recyclable). You can find rubbish containers under the sink and on the balcony.

    We kindly ask you to dispose the garbage in the appropriate bins in the garbage room during your stay and before checking out; you can find it exiting the building, down the steps on the left  .

  • It is strictly forbidden to smoke, even electronic cigarettes
  • No parties or events
  • Quiet hours from 10 pm to 8 am, please be quite in the common areas of the building especially in the evening
  • Turn all the lights and the air conditioning off before going out
  • For safety reasons, close all windows when you are not at home

CHECK-OUT

 

Our guests are kindly asked to leave the flat by 11 am on the day of the check out.

PLEASE MAKE SURE TO:

  • Leave the towels on the bathroom floor (don’t do any washing, please)
  • Wash your dishes
  • Switch the lights and the air conditioning off
  • Close the windows
  • Take the trash out (instructions in the proper section)

VERY IMPORTANT: We kindly ask you to leave the keys on the table and to lock the door behind you.
